- Westminster , TX 75485 - 972-924-2071 Real Deal is a seconds and surplus building material dealer and there is no telling what may be in stock at any given time. Just imagine anything, that you have ever seen, at any hardware store or lumber yard, and there is a good chance that Donny will have it in stock, hiding in some dusty back corner of the building. And it is ALL dirt cheap! I built a very posh 12' x 16' woodshop building with ALL my materials (windows and all, top to bottom) purchased at Real Deal for about $270! At the west end of the building, outside, is barn tin, brick pavers, shingles, bird baths, concrete statues, siding and other bulky things in that category. Just inside the building, on the west side, is the cabinet area. There are literally hundreds and hundreds of units of all kinds of kitchen and bathroom cabinets. There are prefab, aleady put together cabinets, and parts of cabinets, and cabinet doors. On the north side of this same room, along the entire length of the wall, sticks of trim and molding of all varieties are stacked. On the south end of the room there are stair parts, hand rails, ballusters, flag poles and other stuff. As you leave this large cabinet room (formerly the gymnasium of the school building that now is home to Real Deal) and walk to the east, you pass bin, after bin of nails, screws, bolts, plumbing fixtures, tools, sign lettering and miscellaneous stuff (it takes me 30 minutes to pass through that hall). Continuing east, an entry on the right reveals the door display room. All kinds of very expensive, ornate, wood, metal, glass and composite doors. Also, plain doors too. On the other side of the hall from the doors is a room filled with plumbing fixtures, toilets, tanks, shower hardware and you name it. Ahead of these two rooms on the right, is the old assembly hall and stage of the former Westminster school. Now it is full of flooring materials. Used to be carpet rolls in there but I think it's gone now. I know for a fact that there are probably a thousand boxes of different types of wood flooring. Also some selections of one gallon paint cans. On the other side of the east, west oriented hallway from the flooring room is the entry foyer of the business. Stacked there, are probably 20 pallets of different types of paint and caulking (also more boxes of nails). Continuing east through the building you come to the wallpaper and borders room. As I stated, it is a roughy 20' x 35' room, stacked top to bottom with every conceivable patter and color of wallpaper and border. Also in this room are several types of fireplace surrounds and mantles. They are cheap too. Now at the far east end of the old school building you exit to the east yard where the raw lumber, plywood, particle board and stuff like that is located. Real deal has about the same selection of stuff that you will find at Home Depot or Lowes (except at around half the price!!). Also out here and on the south side of the building are the windows. Hundreds of different brand new, surplus windows. Any size you can imagine can be found here. In conclusion, pay a visit to Real Deal! It is worth the drive to Westminster and you can waste hours browsing through the stuff. Also, you won't find any better bargains than what you will find here. |
